Scituate Light College Advising is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. We want every family to be able to find information and reach us with ease.
01 Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.
02 Measures we take
- Semantic, structured headings and landmarks for screen-reader navigation;
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images;
- Color combinations chosen with readable contrast in mind;
- Keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus styling; and
- Reduced motion for visitors whose devices request it.
03 Known limitations
We continue to review and improve the site. Some content may not yet fully meet our goals, and third-party tools embedded in the site (such as form or scheduling services) are partly outside our control. We welcome reports of any barriers you encounter.
04 Tell us how we're doing
